Descriptors

You can view the course descriptors for term 1.1 on the link to the left. You'll find detailed information on every course on offer at Unlimited Paenga Tawhiti this year. The descriptors include the course title, course outline, the Learning Advisor facilitating the course, the time and the location. They may also indicate the NCEA level and standards on offer, materials or prior learning needed for the course, and future courses that build upon this course. They are organised by colours. These colours represent the ‘slots’ on the timetable. You can only choose 1 course from each colour slot.

Courses that start with code "456" are designed for Y9-11 students (working towards NCEA Level 1). "678" courses are designed for Y11-14 students (working towards NCEA Level 2-3).

Timetable

The timetable provides an overview of when and where all the courses are on.

Blank Timetable

The blank timetable is a form you can print off and fill out with your courses for the block.

Completing your timetable

Before you create a timetable, you should have a discussion with your parents and your LA. They will be able to remind you of any commitments from your IEP Meeting.

Read through the descriptors for each block and choose up to one course per colour slot. You can choose to not attend a course in every slot, but remember that you'll need to be able to account for your learning during that time (you could start a LDE or arrange some NCEA study time).

Print off the blank schedule by clicking on the link to the left.

Write in the courses you are planning on taking this term block.

Check it with your parents.

Hand it in to your LA before the next schedule begins so your LA can discuss it with you and enter it into inquire.
